The role

We’re looking for a Founding iOS Engineer who’s equal parts craftsman and innovator — someone who loves Apple technologies, pushes the boundaries of mobile experiences, and brings interfaces to life with beauty and precision.

You’ll become the 2nd iOS engineer and 6th engineer overall (the rest are AI/backend) and will play a core role in building Wabi’s iOS app, from complex UI animations to performance-critical features.

What you’ll do

• Build and polish core parts of Wabi’s iOS app using SwiftUI and related frameworks. Deploy to prod speed is crucial.
• Implement complex animations, shaders, and non-standard visuals to create delightful, surprising experiences.
• Collaborate closely with founder Eugenia and design team (Joonas, Antoine, Alex) to prototype and ship innovative software.

What we’re looking for

Mandatory

• 5–6+ years of professional iOS development experience.
• Deep SwiftUI expertise — this is essential, particularly a strong understanding of Swift concurrency.

Nice to have

• Objective-C & UIKit: Native↔RN bridges and performance/animation-critical areas (e.g. chat).
• React Native: Integrations and porting native components into RN on both sides (implementing in native and wiring up the RN integration).
• Experience building novel or experimental software products.
